1) Marcella Vivrette Smith Park
One of my absolute favorite spots to photograph families is Marcella Vivrette Smith Park. However, it’s more commonly known as Smith Park in Brentwood, TN. First, I love just how many spots this park has for different photo backdrops. Second, it’s just a beautiful park to visit during the summer. Your kids will love it! Since we’ve photographed hundreds of photos at this park, we can’t wait to photograph your family at Smith Park next!

2) Percy Warner Park Steps – Nashville Family Session Locations
I believe that Percy Warner Park Steps is quickly becoming one of my favorite Nashville family session locations because of it’s architecturally rich staircase that creates a beautiful backdrop for family photos! I also love how this location looks when the sunlight is streaming through.
3) Murfreesboro Greenway
If you’re located in Murfreesboro and desire a close to home family session, the Murfreesboro Greenway is a luscious spot for bright, family photos during spring, summer, or fall! It’s absolutely beautiful and has many different spots to take photos along the pathway! Since I’ve photographed here many times, I even know of some fun, secret spots that I would love to take your family for an adventurous family session!
4) Ravenswood Mansion
It’s super fun to have your family photos taken with the scenic and historic Ravenswood Mansion in the background! This mansion is actually located in the middle of Smith Park; therefore, it’s pretty easy to have your family session at both Smith Park and with Ravenswood Mansion in the background. And if you’d like to get even closer to Ravenswood Mansion and have photos taken on their property, I’m sure I can help you arrange that as well!
5) The Nashville Parthenon – Nashville Family Session Locations
The Nashville Parthenon is one of those classic and historical Nashville spots to have family photography experience! I highly recommend it and would love to take your family there and give you a wonderful experience exploring the architecture of the Parthenon, the pond behind the Parthenon, as well as Centennial Park which the Parthenon is built.

6) Arrington Vineyards
I absolutely love Arrington Vineyards for family sessions! The Vineyards create such stunning composition in the background of your family photos, and it would also make a great field trip for your entire family! In my honest opinion, Arrington Vineyards is an experience that’s worth the investment.
7) Field in College Grove, TN
Since we’ve been doing photography in this area for several years, we’ve (About Daniel & Jennifer) had the wonderful opportunity of photographing many different families at many different Nashville locations. One day, a family we knew from our church asked us to photograph their family, and I, of course said yes!
They said that they had this beautiful property that they would love to have their family session, and this excited me because I love getting to see new, beautiful properties! We went to the property, and it was such a gorgeous field with rolling hills in the background. It was incredible! They were so gracious to say that if I ever wanted to do another family session there, that I could! Therefore, if you would like a family session at this beautiful location, I would love to take your family there and give you a wonderful heirloom portrait experience!
8) Pinkerton Park – Nashville Family Session Locations
If you’re a family who lives in Franklin, TN, Pinkerton Park just might be the perfect spot for your next family session! It’s wide open, has a super cool playground for your children, and has a really cool bridge that can also be used for a photo spot! I couldn’t recommend this park more for a family session, and we’d love to give you an amazing experience!
